After you’ve installed MediaMonkey on your computer, you may want to the default , so you can keep the database even if you’ve reinstalled computer system. This article will tell you how to MediaMonkey default database location.

Solution

  1. Make sure you’ve closed MediaMonkey.
  2. Go to the location of the .ini file. The default location is C:\Documents and \<USERNAME>\Local \Application Data\MediaMonkey\MediaMonkey.ini( XP), or  C:\Users\<USERNAME>\AppData\Local\MediaMonkey\MediaMonkey.ini (Window vista). And back up the MediaMonkey.ini file.
  3. Go to the location of the MM.DB file. The default location is C:\Documents and Settings\<USERNAME>\Local Settings\Application Data\MediaMonkey\MM.DB(Windows XP), or C:\Users\<USERNAME>\AppData\Local\MediaMonkey\MM.db (Window vista). And move the MM.DB file to a new location.
  4. Add the following line to the [System] section of the .ini file: DBName=full pathfilename.DB (for example DBName=C:\Documents and Settings\an\Databases\MM.DB)
  5. Restart MediaMonkey. Now you’ve changed MediaMonkey default database location.
