Solution

  1. Make sure you’ve closed MediaMonkey.
  2. Go to the location of the .ini file. The default location is C:\Documents and \<USERNAME>\Local \Application Data\MediaMonkey\MediaMonkey.ini( XP), orĀ  C:\Users\<USERNAME>\AppData\Local\MediaMonkey\MediaMonkey.ini (Window vista). And back up the MediaMonkey.ini file.
  3. Go to the location of the MM.DB file. The default location is C:\Documents and Settings\<USERNAME>\Local Settings\Application Data\MediaMonkey\MM.DB(Windows XP), or C:\Users\<USERNAME>\AppData\Local\MediaMonkey\MM.db (Window vista). And move the MM.DB file to a new location.
  4. Add the following line to the [System] section of the .ini file: DBName=full pathfilename.DB (for example DBName=C:\Documents and Settings\an\Databases\MM.DB)
  5. Restart MediaMonkey. Now you’ve changed MediaMonkey default database location.
